First Day of School

I’ve been excited for, and dreading, the first day of school. I’m sending both kids off this year.

Navy is in kindergarten. It is hard to believe that he is in school. Not just preschool. Real school. All day, five days a week.

He’s a bit anxious about it. We’ve met his teacher. She seems nice. He already knows a few kids in his class.

Lily is in fourth grade. How is that even possible?! I am not that old!!

She didn’t really have much to say, other than she’s not ready for summer to end. One of her good friends from third grade is in her class. I’m sure that’ll strengthen their friendship.

I’m really excited for everything they’ll learn this year, but it’s bittersweet because they’re both in school now.
