Poking a pumpkin!

I spent some of today packing up what’s left from Thanksgiving and the autumn decorations. Thankfully, we had taken care of most of it, minus a tinsel jack-o’-lantern. How did I miss that for a month?!

The kids’ carved jack-o’-lanterns have been gone for quite some time. We kept my uncarved pumpkin for fall decor.

It had been frozen solid because it was a wee bit cold here. Temps in the teens and 20s. Then, we had a bit of a heatwave this weekend.

Navy got a real kick out of it!

The 40s. In Indiana. In December.

The pumpkin thawed. And it was mushy. So, we poked it because, why not?
