After missing a game and a few practices because his arm was in a splint, Navy was happy to finally be able to play baseball again.
As a rookie, he spends more time in the outfield and bats near the end of the line-up.
When he was up to bat, he hit the ball. It was called a foul. Another pitch, and a good hit. It rolled right past the second baseman. Navy was safe at first.
Another teammate got a good hit, name was safe at second!
Then, another hit. Navy rounded third and ran home!!
The team ended up losing 7 to 4, but they had some great hits and lots of enthusiasm. I’m excited to see the skills Navy and the other boys learn over the course of the season.
