Project 365: Day 17 – Let Them Eat Pie

image

We went out to Bob’s for dinner. Since we’ve been eating at home more, our weekly ritual of going to Bob’s has gone by the wayside.

Tonight, we went. It’s been forever and I wasn’t in the mood to cook. Lily and Navy both ate great. Big sister shared her fries with little brother.

So, we got pie for dessert. One pie is big enough to share. We.playfully ate our pie. I put whipped cream on Lily’s nose. Navy tried to help himself.

It was just a great way to end our evening. Stuffed, happy, and tired.

Project 365: Day 6 – Christmas in January

My children are very blessed to be surrounded by people who love them. Tonight, they got to open presents from Jeanette & Scott. Originally, Jeanette was just supposed to be Navy’s babysitter, but over the last 10 months, she and her family have become very dear to us.

Here is Navy, contemplating this package before him. He eventually told a couple of strips of paper, which promptly went into his mouth.

Lily was beyond excited and the pictures I got of her, she is feverishly ripping the paper off of her packages as fast as her little hands will allow. She’s is professional present opener. Navy has a lot to learn from her.

Project 365: Day 5 – 11 Months and Counting Down

Countdown to Navy's 1st Birthday

Someone special is turning one!

Navy is 11-months-old today. I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone. This time last year, preparations were finishing up for Navy’s arrival.

Now, I have an 11-month-old working on his one-year molars. He’s starting to walk. He babbles and will say, “Dada” and “Uh oh.” He can feed himself and is leaving to use a spoon. He prefers his bottle to a sippy cup. He loves his big sister and wants to always be with her, doing whatever she is doing.

A month from today, I will have a one-year-old boy…

Project 365: Day 4 – A New Record

Project 365: Day 4

Lily Got a New Record on Wii

As the day was drawing to a close, I didn’t know what I would post for today. I had originally wanted to take a picture of Lily all ready to go back to school, but that didn’t happen before we were running out the door. Then, I thought about taking a picture of the bathroom that was all clean and tidy because I’ve been working completely going over the house and tidying everything.

As I was putting dishes away, Lily ran into the kitchen and insisted that I get my camera. She had set a new record while playing the homerun derby on Wii. She was so proud of herself, and I just had to take a picture. I think it’s fitting for tonight’s Project 365.

Project 365: Day 1

1/365

Day 1 of Project 365

January 1, 2012. Day 1 of 366.

Little Brother & Big Sister Relaxing and Watching a Movie Together: I took a picture of Navy and Lily. They were watching Dragon Tales and having a cup of milk (formula for Navy). What better way to start this off than with a picture of my adorable children?!

A very dear friend, Erin, mentioned it last week and was kind enough to tell me more about it. A little googling, and I was very interested.

The idea behind Project 365 is to take a picture a day for the whole year. So often, we’ve got so much going on that we can’t recall what we did last night, last week, last month; let alone on a specific day during the year. Something special, meaningful, or unique. Another idea was to post a picture of yourself every once in a while to see how you change throughout the year.

I always have my camera, or camera phone, with me, wherever I got. This is right up my alley. My biggest challenge will be writing the blog for it.
