I was clipping coupons from the Sunday paper, and Lily wanted to help.
I was leery, but her teacher had told me how good Lily is with scissors. I tested those skills on a page of expired coupons. She was cleared to cut the real thing.

Just got my butt kicked at Scrabble Junior.

Lily had to leave gymnastics tonight. She was acting up and refused to listen to Miss Joy. She cried as we left. Hope next week is better.

Since Christmas, I’ve been picking up children’s games here and there. Lily received Scrabble Junior for Christmas. I recently purchased Skip Bo, Uno, Yahtzee, and Rummikub, as well as a couple of other kid-themed card games.
The goal is from 8-8:30pm, to play a game with Lily. She lives games and it’s one-on-one time that she so desperately craves.
Tonight, we played two games did Rummikub, both of which she won. We started a game of Scrabble Junior, but Navy required my attention.
This seems like a good strategy for us. She’s getting the attention she needs, and I have a board gaming buddy. Win!

The fabulous people in the marketing/PR department for McDonald’s here on northern Indiana were kind enough to send us a package with lots of goodies.
As you can imagine, Lily was beyond thrilled. Here she is, showing off some of the presents we received.
McDonald’s recently made changes to their Happy Meals. The fries are half the size and apples are automatically included. Changes we are happy about!
