Project 365: Day 6 – Christmas in January

My children are very blessed to be surrounded by people who love them. Tonight, they got to open presents from Jeanette & Scott. Originally, Jeanette was just supposed to be Navy’s babysitter, but over the last 10 months, she and her family have become very dear to us.

Here is Navy, contemplating this package before him. He eventually told a couple of strips of paper, which promptly went into his mouth.

Lily was beyond excited and the pictures I got of her, she is feverishly ripping the paper off of her packages as fast as her little hands will allow. She’s is professional present opener. Navy has a lot to learn from her.

Project 365: Day 5 – 11 Months and Counting Down

Countdown to Navy's 1st Birthday

Someone special is turning one!

Navy is 11-months-old today. I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone. This time last year, preparations were finishing up for Navy’s arrival.

Now, I have an 11-month-old working on his one-year molars. He’s starting to walk. He babbles and will say, “Dada” and “Uh oh.” He can feed himself and is leaving to use a spoon. He prefers his bottle to a sippy cup. He loves his big sister and wants to always be with her, doing whatever she is doing.

A month from today, I will have a one-year-old boy…

Project 365: Day 2 – Bathroom Bandit

01022012

Navy discovered the joys of toilet paper today. He found out that all he really has to do is pull in it and more will come. His was fun, until he was discovered.

It was too cute. I watched him for a minute and took a picture before taking in back to the living room and his toys.

Lesson learned. Keep the bathroom door shut when little boys are crawling about. She never did anything like this. He’s fascinated by the bathroom. Just a reminder of how different a baby he is from Lily.
