“Walt Disney’s Cinderella”

“Walt Disney’s Cinderella”

Lily needed to read a fairytale for her Building Bridges with Books bingo sheet.

This abridged version of the classic Disney movie was a fun read, and Lily pretty much knew the story line from having seen the movie (on VHS).

Lily’s Book Report

I liked the book.

I liked that the dress was getting fixed with the spell.

I didn’t like the people tore the dress and the spell getting broken.

Who was the main character? Cinderella.

How did Cinderella feel at the end of the book? Very happy.
Why? Since she got to marry the prince.

“Doggie Holidays” by Shirley Scott

The author was kind enough to autograph and “pawtograph” this book for both of the kids.

I tear up reading about Matt every time. Yet, it’s a great memory I’m glad Shirley shared with young readers. Matt is truly missed.

The Adventures of Jack and Dobbie is Shirley’s website for the series!

The New Adventures of Little Critter

We are moving, so this seemed like a good book to get. Even though Lily is excited, I know she has reservations about leaving her friends and having a different bedroom.

Lily’s Book Report
What are the important events? They take their old stuff and give some away. They moved to a new house.
What does it remind you of in your life? I am moving to a new house.

As for the picture, I just think the baboon mover is funny. Check out his facial expressions when he takes Little Critter’s stuff to the moving truck.

“Farley Farts” by Birte Muller

We ended up getting this book completely by accident. Navy pulled it off the shelf at the library, and I didn’t know where it went.

Bedtime story time was so much fun with this silly book. Lily and Navy would giggle whenever I had to make a farting noise.

PFFOOOOT!

The kids loved the book!
