We had a chance to spend the weekend at the Mall of America. It was weird not having the kids in tow for the weekend, especially when there was an indoor amusement park and a candy story!
We started with appetizers and some drinks at Dick’s Last Resort. I’d never been, but knew exactly what I was getting myself into. We dished it as much as it took it. Probably not a place that I would take the kids, but it was great for a group of sassy adults.
There were indoor go-karts, too. We visited Smaaash. Doug’s best lap was 1:11.635. He ended up in 4th place. The arcade looked pretty awesome, too, but there just wasn’t enough time in the weekend to do it all.
Sunday was our shopping day. I found some cute things from the kids at the Love From Minnesota store. An entire store dedicated to souvenirs!
We couldn’t resist stopping at IT’SUGAR for some treats for the flight home. They have tons of jumbo boxes of candy, vintage candies, silly candies, and other fun novelty items. It was a lot of fun just to walk through the store and see everything that they offered. I may have purchased 3 different bags of bulk Jelly Belly jellybeans…
Seriously, why do we not have something like this closer to home?!
