I spent some of today packing up what’s left from Thanksgiving and the autumn decorations. Thankfully, we had taken care of most of it, minus a tinsel jack-o’-lantern. How did I miss that for a month?!

Watching Christmas movies on TV with the kids.
Minus shopping, we really don’t start doing Christmas things until the day after Thanksgiving. For us, that’s the start of the Christmas season.

Happy Veteran's Day!
We spent today honoring our favorite veteran, my Dad.
He was stationed on the USS Yarnall DD-541 in the 1950’s.
I’ve known my entire life that he was in the Navy. It was only recently that I found out the name of the ship because he wanted me to research it and asbestos on the ship.
I asked him to find one of his Navy pictures so I could post it on Facebook. We also got him a card, which was lovingly scribbled and drawn on.
