Project 365: Day 149 – Happy Memorial Day!

We are really fortunate to have a wonderful network of state parks here in Indiana. Several are within an hour of the house, and the annual pass is affordable.

We spend the afternoon and a better part of the evening at Pokagon.

In honor of Arbor Day, we went to Main’s Flowers to get some plants for our garden.
We were not able to plant a tree because we have a rather small yard, and I didn’t call to have buried lines marked.
I picked out a couple of tomato plants and a broccoli plant. Lily had asked if she could pick one, too. She picked a strawberry plant.
Hoping we won’t have to worry about frost…in May…and can plant our garden next week.

We stopped into Dollar General to get a couple things, then grabbed a few Easter items.
Why? Why? Why can you buy an over-priced, filled Easter basket with food stamps?!

Lily’s class celebrated St. Patrick’s Day today. She wore her special St. Patrick’s Day shirt, socks, and hair bow.
While they were out of the classroom, a mischievous leprachaun came into their room to hide his gold. In doing so, he made a big mess.

This is Lily’s special hair bow that I made for St. Patrick’s Day. She’s been asking to wear it, but we saved it until today. She’s requested to wear it again on Friday.
Still trying to figure out what we are going to do to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday…
