“Curious George Goes to a Movie” by Margret & H.A. Rey

(No picture. It’s on my “real” camera. Sorry.)

We are experimenting with different book media, listening, and ways of learning. Sometimes, Lily reads, I read, she listens to books on CD and follows along, and we have YouTube with books read by the author.

Lily’s Book Report

I like Curious George because he wanted to go to a movie.

What happened in the book?
He scared a boy.

Why?
Because he wanted to know what was making the screen work.

What was your favorite part?
When Curious George was eating popcorn.

We picked this for Lily’s Building Bridges With Books bingo sheet. She needed a book from Eric Carle.

I like the book.

I like the blue horse.

What did the children see?
A teacher.

Project 365: Day 63 – Dental Check-Up

image

I’m always a little apprehensive taking the kids to the dentist. I’m worried that they will have a bad experience.

Lily goes back with the dental hygienist all by herself. I rarely get pictures of her. Of course, she picked a blue toothbrush!

Navy isn’t sure yet. He likes to have Mommy stay with him. Though, he knows where the toys and stickers are when he’s done!

No cavities for either kiddo!!

I had horrible experiences at the dentist when I was younger. It seemed like I always had cavities, partially because I have weak enamel. When the dentist would fill them, he always used nitrous oxide, which didn’t take full effect. He didn’t believe me when I said I could still feel the pain of the drill.

I’m grateful that my kids haven’t had a scary experience, minus Navy’s anxiety of an unfamiliar and sterile environment.

And, I hopefully have another 6 months before I have to worry about this again.

Project 365: Day 60 – Snacking in the Carwash

image

We’ve had out unlimited carwash pass from Mike’s Carwash for a week now. We’ve had the car washed 10 times. It was a little splurge for myself. I like having my car washed and Mike’s purple and green foam spraying in every direction is fun.

Navy was terrified at first. He would cry as soon as we pulled into Mike’s. However, Lily likes “the noodle tunnel,” and Navy is a lemming when it comes to things that Lily likes.

So, we are making the most of out pass this month. My car is shiny. The inside is tidy (thanks to the free trash bag I always get when we go).

Enjoy the rest of your TGIF!

Project 365: Day 29 – I Love You Papa

My Dad has been in the hospital for a couple of days. The nurse told Lily that she could write on his board.

Her message to Papa, “I love you Papa!”
