I couldn’t pick just one today.

I couldn’t pick just one today.

Lily’s been a great big sister. She helps with her little brother. She tries to keep herself busy when I’m taking care of him.
All that can leave a little girl feeling just a tad neglected.
After Navy goes to bed, Lily gets special time. Since she’s older, and more mature, she gets to stay up a half hour later. During tonight’s time, I gave her a manicure and pedicure. She loves having her nails done, even if they don’t make it through the day.
I will let you in on a little secret: Planning a girls day out in the near future to surprise Lily. No boys allowed, not even baby brothers.

I hated my fireplace. When I was looking at houses, I didn’t even want one in the house. Not that we have ever used ours, but still, didn’t want one.
I hated everything about ours. The brick. The closure. The mantel. Everything.
I’ve talked to Darian from Krauss Heating & Cooling about installing a gas fireplace in the house. Not right now, but I wanna know what I’m looking at price-wise.
When we went to visit some friends at Hampton Inn, this was the fireplace in their lobby. Lily loves it. I loved it it kind of gives me something to go on, with what I want in our home.
Though I very much dislike our fireplace as it is now, I can see the potential in it. I hope that some day, our fireplace will look similar to this.

We went out to Bob’s for dinner. Since we’ve been eating at home more, our weekly ritual of going to Bob’s has gone by the wayside.
Tonight, we went. It’s been forever and I wasn’t in the mood to cook. Lily and Navy both ate great. Big sister shared her fries with little brother.
So, we got pie for dessert. One pie is big enough to share. We.playfully ate our pie. I put whipped cream on Lily’s nose. Navy tried to help himself.
It was just a great way to end our evening. Stuffed, happy, and tired.
