Steak Frites
with Creamy Shallot Sauce and Sautéed Spinach
I was really looking forward to this recipe because I wanted to try the shallot sauce. It looks so good, but so intimidating to make. Much to my surprise, it was pretty simple and quite tasty.

Included in my Plated box: Potatoes, Garlic, Shallots, Steaks, Spinach, White wine, Mustard, Horseradish, Sour cream, Sea salt.
Slicing the potatoes was the most time consuming part of meal prep. I really wish I had a French fry cutter to make this job go super fast.
First off, I didn’t realize how low I was getting on olive oil. I ended up taking the spout off to get the last little bit out. I ended up using sesame oil on the spinach. It added a nice flavor. I’d definitely do that again.
The kids get ketchup for the fries. I wish I would have thought of that, but when trying out these recipes, I try not to alter them too much.
There were no leftovers.
